Point-of-Use

Better Water Where You Use It

Point-of-use treatment makes sense when the need is concentrated at a particular sink, fixture, or use. Start with what the water is used for and what needs to change there before deciding whether broader treatment is necessary.

Start with where you use the water

Treat the water where you use it.

Use point

Where is the water being used?

What you know about the water

What are you trying to remove or improve, and what do you already know about the water?

Maintenance

What filters, cartridges, or other routine maintenance will the system need later?

When one-tap treatment may be enough

Where do you want better water?

When the need is limited to one location, treating that location may be enough. If the same concern appears throughout the home, look at whole-house treatment instead.

Drinking water

If you only want to change the water you drink, a dedicated drinking-water system can be considered separately from the rest of the home.

Cooking water

The same point-of-use system may also supply cooking water when that matches how your household uses it.

A specific fixture or use

If the need is limited to one fixture or one use, there may be no reason to treat water throughout the property.

One tap or the whole home?

Treat only the water that needs attention.

If the concern is limited to one faucet or one use, keep the treatment there. If it affects water throughout the home, step back and look at whole-house treatment.
